Shocks and Struts
For excellent car handling characteristics, have your shocks and struts serviced at City Tire & Auto. Located at one of our locations, we service those in Newfoundland and Labrador. Our technicians can assess and repair worn shocks and struts to ensure the on-road safety and stability of your vehicle.
When there’s an issue with your shocks and struts, ride comfort isn’t the only issue, the following will also be compromised:
- Tire wear
- Fuel efficiency
- Steering
- Braking
- Vehicle handling
You can refer to your owner’s manual for information specific to the make and model of your vehicle to find out what the recommended shock and strut maintenance interval is. At City Tire & Auto we will also include an inspection of your vehicle’s shocks and struts during a routine service.
Outside of the recommended maintenance interval, if you have noticed any of the following issues, there may be a problem with your steering and suspension that requires attention:
- Vehicle dips forward when braking
- Excessive bouncing when driving
- Poor handling around corners
- Braking response is delayed or takes longer than usual
- Fluid is leaking for the shock absorbers
